On October 11, 2024, the finalist teams of the 2024 Millennium Innovation Award presented their prototypes to an independent jury.
The 2024 finalist teams and their presented projects are as follows:
Karlson
G-AID – A drone powered by artificial intelligence and green energy to study Earth’s terrain.
The project aims to save human lives and minimize the severe consequences of natural disasters by using an autonomous drone.
Anabasis
Automatic Greenhouse for Vegetables
The project aims to create a controlled environment for vegetable crops and produce healthy products.
TECHNOVISION
PreVision
The project aims to make the fitting, measuring, and viewing of clothing and expensive jewelry more comfortable, accessible, safe, and convenient.
PEST PATROL
Pest Patrol Smart Drone – Agricultural pest detector
The project aims to prevent the mass spread of pests that damage agricultural plants.
BEES
Bee Venom Harvesting Management and Control
The project aims to maintain the effectiveness of venom extraction without harming the bees.
MARINEGUARD
Oil Water Cleaning Drone
The project aims to create an unmanned vessel that will monitor maritime waters for spilled oil, automatically clean the contaminated area with special filters, and collect the extracted oil in a special container. When the container is full, it will be emptied into a special tank onshore.
STARFISH
Smart, Eco-friendly Fish Farm
The project aims to promote the fishing industry by introducing automatically managed and eco-friendly methods.

The project aims to assist individuals with disabilities in returning to their usual way of life.

The project aims to solve significant agricultural problems through appropriate equipment.
BI-STABLE
Technology for Producing Double Potential Well Bi-Stable Kinematic Pairs from Carbon Nanocomposites
The project aims to increase the production of carbon composite materials, reduce their historically high costs, and enable their use in manufacturing not only spacecrafts but also various types of equipment.
GIRLS IN AGRO
WeedZapper
The main goal of the project is to help agronomists easily remove weeds from plants.
A total of 92 projects were presented by 395 students in this years Millennium Innovations Award competition. 48% of the participants are male, and 52% are female. The teams consist of both private (27%) and public (73%) school students. 48% of the participating schools are from the regions, and 52% are from the capital city - Tbilisi.
The winners of the 2024 competition will be announced at an award ceremony planned for winter, with the date to be announced soon.
As a result of the competition's selection stages, three top teams will be recognized, representing projects in the fields of innovation and natural sciences. The team that takes first place will participate in the NASA Space Center's University program in Houston, USA. The second and third-place teams will also participate in international STEM and innovations camps, while the finalist teams will receive various prizes.
The competition is organized by the Millennium Foundation with financial support from the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. Official partners of the Millennium Innovation Award are GITA and Liberty Bank.
