Millennium Innovation Award Finalists Teams Revealed

The finalist teams for the Millennium Innovations Award (MIA) 2023 are revealed. The experts' committee has selected twelve finalist projects out of 24 semi-finalist teams via consensus. The teams from Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Senaki, Batumi, Zugdidi, Akhmeta and Mtskheta schools have advanced to the final round of the competition. The finalists were selected based on interviews and project presentation in accordance with the MIA evaluation criteria.

"The aim of the Millennium Innovation Award is to promote STEM education and innovations among the Georgian youth. Millennium Foundation will provide financial support to the finalist teams that will enable them to develop and present their complete projects during the final round of the competition. As a result, three winning teams will be identified who will participate at international STEM summer camps," - said Magda Magradze, CEO of Millennium Foundation.

The winning team will participate in the Space Center University summer camp at NASA, Houston USA. The second and third places winners will also participate in international STEM programs in the USA and Europe.

The Millennium Foundation is organizing the MIA competition for the ninth consecutive year with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and Liberty Bank are the official partners of the competition.
