The Millennium Foundation organized the awards ceremony of the National Technical and Vocational Education (TVET) Award.
At the event, the 2024 winners of the National Vocational Education Award were identified in four main competition categories. The winners of 2024 TVET National Awards are:
· Mariam Chkhaidze has become TVET Student of the Year. Mariam has studies in the program of librarian at the Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University. The winner was awarded with the prize by the Business Association of Georgia.
· Guram Davitlidze, was awarded the prize of TVET Teacher of the Year. Guram is a vocational education teacher at the Gldani Vocational Training Center. The winner was awarded a prize by the Embassy of Israel in Georgia.
· LEPL College "Gldani Vocational Training Center", with the program - Industrial Design Performance was named as the 2024 Vocational Education Program.
· JSC "Liberty" won the prize of TVET Industry Partner of the Year 2024.
The Parliament of Georgia awarded the LEPL College "Mermisi" with a special prize for promoting inclusive vocational education.
N(N)LE Construction College "Construct2" was awarded by the Vocational Skills Agency in the category "Best Practices for Cooperation with Employers and Businesses".
The annual competition of the National Vocational Education Award has been held since 2017 and aims to develop and promote vocational education as an important component of strengthening the country's economy.
The general sponsor of the award is the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation.
The competition is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, the Parliament of Georgia, the Vocational Skills Agency, the Embassy of Israel in Georgia and the Business Association of Georgia.
